Antivirus

I recently bought a new computer that had Norton Anti Virus installed on it for free for 90 days.  
Well, the 90 days is just about up and I was wondering if I should subscribe to it or look around for another (possibly more affordable) program.
I am assuming that it is important to have some type of anti virus program.  Do you have any suggestions?

Yes, it is very important to have some type of antivirus program on your computer! It is just as important to keep your antivirus program updated with the most current virus definitions. This way you will remain protected from the new viruses that are coming out all the time.
You do have many options for what program to use. You can purchase the Norton updates, or you can un-install Norton and take advantage of any of the other antivirus programs out there.
I have been using AVG Antivirus from http://www.grisoft.com for seven  years now, and it has stopped every virus that has come my way. I get a lot of infected e-mails because my address is in many subscribers address books.
AVG has both an AntiVirus edition and an AntiMalware Edition. I have been using the AntiMalware edition since it protects my computer from Viruses and Spyware. All editions of AVG offer unlimited free updates, and tech support.
